A hidden Gem indeed!

Cucumber Fresca

My drink... It was cool as a cucumber... consisted of white wine and fresca... simple as that!!!!

Wine Cooler

Not my favorite drink... red wine and coke... it did not taste good..but my friend liked it

Flower Power Beer

This beer was amazing... nice, light and fruity. Look this beer up I promise you a good deal!

Watermelon Fresca

Watermelon Fresca plus white wine... As simple as that!

Two buckwheat waffles topped with cinnamon butter

This was a good waffle. i'm not used to this flavor profile but I loved it. not your typical butter milk taste... it had a nice rustic flavor to it!! And the strawberry compote rounded the dish out perfectly!!!

Cornmeal-fried catfish

Oh this CATFISH was amazing!!!!! Nicely breaded... and that sauce next to it was out of this world... I only wish I had another piece of fish because it was that damn good guys...

Unmasking hidden gems in BK is awesome.. I'd say go check this place out and have a great time!!!

A not so happy happy hour here at Silvias.... let's cut to the chase in simple yet detailed descriptions of each ordered dish.

The best thing that hit the table besides the wine was the corn bread. What can I say.... Can you really mess up cornbread????
(Don't answer that)

The Salmon cakes.... Well these left little to the imagination of how good they would taste. I expected so much more from this place. The cakes were dry, flavorless... if i wasn't hungry I'd walk right out for this dish here alone.....

Here's a picture of all the sides:

The Rice: White rice very bland and lacked luster
The MAC AND CHEESE:
I thought the Salmon cakes were bad... I HAD TO ADD SALT to the mac and cheese, and the cheese was barely melted on the dish... coagulated cheese is a HUGE No No in my book of mac
And the collard Greens
This I did not try because I was already mad at the first few things...

The cat Fish was actually okay but still needed some type of life to them. I added pepper and salt.

Now the lack there of in regards to the happy hour was the biggest turn off. The waiter had no idea what was on special and then came back and said that only the resling was on special. All other drinks were pretty high in price. So we settle for them and they were pretty okay.

I would not be going back to this place. Well maybe in a year or so... I was really disappointed at this place because I thought they had some type of potential... Oh well Till next time

Yum Yum's other spot is pretty cool.

Here is the Thai Ice tea that I had. I really wanted a cocktail, but nothing was on special. That really sucked as I would have rather-ed ate at Yum Yum and had a drink there for cheap!! Oh well... this was a really good Thai Ice tea and I have no complaints about this.

For the first appetizer, I really miss coconut soup with chicken in it... so I tested the waters and asked for vegetables. It was the best suggestion I ever made!!! The veggies were fresh, and the soup was just divine... It was a bigger portion then that of it's other location.

The vegetable dumplings were really good. Nice sauce on the bottom and awesome veggies inside of it. The other appetizer options would have been great too if I ate meat... next time I'll go with a co-worker and see what they think of the food.

The Panang here is totally different. They added a huge chunk of pumpkin in the middle of the curry. It was very very good. Something different at a sort of chain made me feel really really good. I would def have this dish again.

The coconut shrimp was disappointing. It was just fried too long, or the oil needed to be changed. I could barely finish the dish, and yes I was hungry hence all that food. The flavor wasn't there for me either... oh well maybe next time.

I would def come back here again and try other dishes. Till next time!!!

Lunch at Beer Authority just got better!!! They now have a lunch special where you can get a burger, sandwich and at the fixing and a drink for only $10, Now I don't eat meat so here's what I had!!

This delicious grandma personal pizza was only $12. I really really loved the real fresh taste I got when I tried it for lunch. I could not finish this massive amount of food but I did bring it home and enjoyed it even more!! How's that possible right? Well it was freaking fresh that's why.

I also ordered, like the glutton that I am, a side of Mac and Cheese. not only Is this the BEST mac in cheese in the area... IT"S ONLY $5. When you get the entree it's a bit pricey for the amount you get but the side order is just the right amount of goodness to satisfy any cheese lovers craving!!!

I would DEFINITELY recommend this place for lunch or even happy hour! Great bartender and awesome food to enjoy.

P.S. The sandwich on the side was my friends,... forgot to ask if he liked, but he inhaled it faster then I could finish the bowl of mac so I guess that answered my question.....

Thai food in Lee Mass,

Let's get right to it!

We ordered a lot of food because we were hungry and my eyes are bigger than my stomach all the time.

GREEN CURRY With string beans, egg plants, red & green peppers, yellow squash, zucchini and basil leaves.

This was the veggie version and we liked it. Not spicy at all though and was really rich and creamy because of the coconut milk they used. Oh what a great dish it was!!!

SIAMESE FRIED RICE
Delicious fried rice with chicken, shrimps, egg, onions, snow peas, green pea, baby corns, carrots, sweet corn, tomato, scallions and cilantro.

This rice was good. Over whelmed with veggies this is a great vegetarian dish to eat.

Oh my my my... the Coconut shrimp was out of this world. The fresh coconut flavors, and the sauce was my favorite dish of all the ones we tried that day!!! I wish I could take that recipe back with me to NY

ROLL “J”Vegetarian spring rolls, delicate and crispy. Served with sweet-sour sauce

These Spring rolls were different from what I've been accustomed to and really enjoyed it. hands down the second best dish we tried here. Same sauce as the shrimp.

Vegetable Panang
Kind of disappointing to say the least. It was the most expensive thing they had and it came with no rice. My bill was mostly high  because of this dish (not a happy camper) We had to order and extra order of rice... (they thought the veggie rice was plenty rice) Did I mention I had a CARB love affair......

Thai Lotus Wine Yummerzzz

This was a really good glass of wine, and the funny thing is that they actually have this bottle in my local wine store (picked up a bottle on my way back home the next day)

Here's the Wine menu if you are interested in the name/brand of the other ones.

Their Thai Ice tea was on point as well.... cannot complain here either.

All in all, we were happy we found a place with decent food, our other options weren't very promising. We would def go back again, but might only order a few of what we had this day!!! Till next time!!!

What an amazing Happy hour with the booski!!!

Lets jump right in...

LOBSTER ROLL

$18

Fresh Lobster served on a warm Garlic Bun with Truffle Fries
The Lobster roll was really really good. I really enjoyed the truffles fries the most though. Something about their seasoned fries just feels comforting and the hint of truffle oil in the background just make it go over the top. The lobster roll had enough veggies in it. Nice light mayo flavor, full lobster taste. The bread was a potato bread and it did not over power the whole dish. I would get this again. (oh we shared this dish...You'll see why)

The happy hour wine are all the house wines you find on sale at your local wine shop. That didn't bother me, I was also happy that the bartender had us finish the bottle at no extra cost for the happy hour!!! LUSH.COM Yes I AM

SPICED FRIES

$7

Crispy home fries seasoned with Cove Special Spice Blend

The spiced fries are heavenly, so heavenly we ordered two of them one for me one for him. Something in the spice in unforgettable, it's also fried well, every fry is edible, nothing goes to waste in that basket...that's all I have to say.

This is the red wine I got. The rest of the bottle was emptied out by me and I was extremely happy about that!!

CRAB RANGOONS

$12

with Honey Sesame Sauce and Spicy Szechuan Sauce

These Crab Rangoons are ridiculous, another dish that is ordered in twos. On the Happy hour menu they are half priced, which makes it easier to buy more. The filling is pure crab meat and cream cheese. The wontons are fried correctly and they are not greasy at all, that's a major plus. The sauce on top gives off the perfect balance of sweet to the dish. Your mouth will go through a sweet, fried, savory roller coaster in a matter of 3 seconds, and you will want that over and over again.

This was a shocker drink ( compliments from the bartender) who understood from my first visit that I love whiskey. He made a old fashion with egg white. Boy was this drink STRONG and good at the same time. Now don't get me wrong... I still  feel a way about the egg whites, but I made my boo drink most of it >.< hahahahaha. Other then that, this would have to be a winterish drink if anything.

                        LOBSTER MAC N' CHEESE

Creamy mac n' cheese layered with tender fresh Lobster

The lobster mac and cheese was super different from what I've been used to. The bechmel sauce was super flavorful and smooth. The lobster is cut up a little to small for me, but the lobster roll made up for all of that. I would def recommend this dish for sharing or even for your self!!

This is an awesome low key place. Great vibe, awesome staff, and great food to accommodate. If your in the Harlem area I would def check them out.

Until next time!!

I love finding new places to eat in the city. Well Harlem any way. So we stumbled upon this place not knowing that the food would actually be really really good.

the calamari was a no brainer to order, but a good one at that. The sauce was a tamrine sauce and was very interesting. I preferred it with out and just a spritz of lemon juice but to each is own. It was fresh and had a nice season batter to it...

The side trio was a very good idea.

The spinach was my favorite. The fries were good but had a bit of too much salt on there, and the sweet plantains were okay at best. All in all the sides were cool.

The crab cakes were really nice. They had a little lump in them where you were able to distinguish between the filler and the meat... Yes I analyze that stuff and how! The chef did not disappoint here at all! Great apps.

We almost didn't order anything else until I said I was still hungry... there was three people at the table and the first few things were not filling enough!!!

So we got the Lobster mac and Cheese. Talk about presentation for days!!! By far the best presented mac and cheese I've seen thus far. Now to flavors..... The half lobster was steamed in salt water... I could taste that alone. The mac how ever, the lobster in there acquired a different spell in the bechmel sauce.
It was nice and cheesy and had the right amount of salt in this dish. I'd recommend this dish a thousand times. I love love love the presentation.

Now I know I don't eat meat... But couldn't have a picture of half wings in the photo above and not speak on it!!!

So my brother had the wings and he was blown away. If you've ever had Bon Chon wings you'd understand the soy garlic concept, however, they took it up a notch and had some type of BBQ glaze with a nice kick to it. He really enjoyed it as it was his replacement for the quesadillas i'm about to speak on.

He was not to fond of this dish. i can not speak on it, but was really happy that the chef himself came out and offered the wings that blew him away. his complaint was that the flavors were off... not sure what he meant but hey maybe I'll get a cheese one when I go back and yes I do plan on returning.

I would recommend this place... the only thing is the crowd that you'll see when there... the hostess are good and the atmosphere is interesting...all in all a good place to visit...

till next time!!
