Out in the Berkshires,

There Special Spicy Margarita Was the bomb.com

I don't recall the actual name, but I do remember it having bits of jalapenos and orange juice in it. A great first start to the dinner out in the Berkshires.

Caipirinha

This was my boo's drink... I thought it was a bit weak but he liked it. Nice and sweet and refreshing... makes you wish it were warmer outside and had time to sun gaze.

Made to order and served in a stone molcajete. Includes tomato, onion, jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, lime, and salt.
Quesadilla Vegetables 10
This Veggie Quesadilla was the bomb.com... I mean I can't remember the last time I went to an establishment and they made their own wraps and it tasting so good like this... I honestly wanted to skip my entree and get another order of this.

You can't go wrong with well seasoned veggies and cheese to marry the ingredients all together. It's a match made in heaven.

This was my second drink. I was the waiters choice and promised that I would like it.... he was wrong but I drank it anyway adding the jalapenos from the last drink to it and it knocked my socks off. I gave the suggestion to the bartender...and I guess they will ad it to the menu!

Ceviche Tropical $ 11.
Our fresh selection of fish and shrimp in lime and light red salsa

First time really having ceviche and I tell you this much, I am a firm believer of this stuff. It was so good I mean it felt like we were at sea and a little lime and avocado made the dish sing. Oh how I could go for some more now as I write this!

Wild Salmon a la Veracruzana 25.
Sautéed with tomato, onions, garlic and jalapeño, served with field greens and rice

There were two salmon dishes... very misleading if I must say... One was wild.. which is my dish and the other al fuego....

I can tell you that the salmon was not wild...but it was delicious nonetheless and no complain except for the false notion of it being wild...  I loved the rice, and the tomatoes and the salad on top... I felt like I was at home with this plate of food. The chef knows what he is doing :)

Salmon al Fuego $ 20.
Broiled marinated salmon on a bed of sautéed wild mushrooms, served over organic mesclun greens

This dish, which also had rice, was really nice. I couldn't decided which one I liked the best... so we shared both plates with one another. I could have done without the mushrooms...which is why he got that order and I got mine.... A must try.

Tres leche

This was a nice way to end the entire meal. Nice and juicy cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream all around it, yummerzzz

When I am back out there I will def try some other dishes and order the two apps again hands down!

I wish they had other tropical items on the menu... because of the location they don't get plantains, and other items.... but it''s still worth a try. Go check them out you will not be disappointed!.

This review is based off of their dinner and happy hour solely.

I had a $10 coupon that was expiring today and I just had to use it with my gal pals!

I started my night off with the Caracara special Frozen drink. Cost $11 and it was a big cup. I was a little upset that I got it and wasn't told I could have done the happy hour where I was sitting. When my friends arrived we changed that!

Here we have my new favorite drink that i have to try and make. Jalapeno cucumber margarita!  Doesn't it look delicious? Well it was and I wanted another one but I had another drink lined up!!

My last drink for the night, only because I kept drinking on an empty stomach, was their sangria. Now I had one of these right after the frozen drink, however, it seemed as though this one was a little bit stronger!

their happy hour drinks range from $5 to $10 depending on the drink. I'd highly recommend having all that I had!

I'm a creature of habit, and I know I know, your going to say... Why didn't you try something new on their dinner menu? Well it was because I was a bit overwhelmed and tipsy when I was looking at the menu... so I went with what was safe.... If you read the graduation post you know that I liked this dish... Well same ole same ole....

Now..... had I known that this would have tasted so good... I would have ordered IT. HOLY SMOKES BATMAN!!!!

Shrimp Tamale. My friend had it and one bite sent me for another one!!! Felt bad that  had my usual and was inches away from this master piece! Now I need to plan another visit just for this!!!

I would recommend going here definitely. Just try it!

Oh how I love good Mexican food!!!

We were celebrating my brothers graduation from High school. I was in charge of finding a place that he would enjoy!

We ordered a pitcher of Peach Sangria and it was really good. The fruit had all the liquor of course. My brother enjoyed it but he was taking a bit too long to finish a cup while I was on my third....

Now for the food!

My sister ordered the chicken Quesadilla because she's not a big fan on Latin food and thought it  was safe. She wasn't really feeling it. So of course I can't let food go to waste!!! so i took some and devoured it while I waited on my order to arrive!

Table side guacamole was the bomb.com

To be able to convince non-avocado eaters to try this was hard...what wasn't hard was for them to actually enjoy the dang thing!!!! It was seasoned nicely and a bit spicy. I enjoyed it and kept scraping the bowl for the rest to come out!

My niece had the chicken finger. I don't know a 4 year old that would call those big pieces of chicken fingers.... But they were exceptionaly flavored and really good

My Brother ordered the chicken mole. Which sounded really good. I wasn't really too interested with it and neither was he. I guess it's more of an acquired taste than anything. He ate it all though ..

My dad had the steak salad because there was nothing on the brunch menu that tickled his fancy! When it arrived he was more than disappointed. The steak was a bit chewy and chard a bit too much. I had to agree with him. He didn't want to return it so he just ate the salad.

My Mom got the chicken version of the salad and she was okay with it. not happy just okay to have something to eat after a long graduation ceremony.

Now for my dish that I actually really enjoyed. you can't go wrong with ordering a regular chicken enchilada
with green sauce. I shared very small sections of my dish with my BF and brother only because they weren't feeling their dishes so much.

Let them eat cake! they said . yes let us eat cake!!! The trese leche was dabomb.com. It was so decadent that I at first didn't want to share the awesomeness of the desert, but it's a pretty big desert so i said what the heck...you can have a small morsel! Everyone thought it was really good, but unfortunately we ordered one!

last but not least! My brother got the best desert that's not on the menu! That's right! In addition to the desert menu there was the mango cheese cake. Why didn't I just order that?????? Luckily my brother wasn't like me and shared most of it as soon as he got it. I will be coming back for this cake again!

What I liked about this place was the great customer service and honestly good food in my opinion. If you asked my parents and siblings they'd give a completely different review. Would I go again yes...with out them of course. They also offer reward cards...who doesn't like eating with a discount? Certainly not me!!
So if your in the Farmingdale area in long island and you have a feel for Mexican done right ... I'd def recommend this place!

Graduating from high school is a milestone everyone gets through. We decided to celebrate my brothers graduation with a little Mexican brunch in Long island.

We tried the table side guacamole and asked that it had a little heat. It was nice and tasty and enough heat to say hello. This was a double, and to have people who don't like guacamole to like it after trying it from here was a win win!

My mom got the grilled chicken salad, and asked that a few items were left out. She wasn't too pleased with the chard taste that was left on the chicken, but she ate it any way.

My dad had the Steak version of the salad and asked that only steak and lettuce be on his plate. He too didn't agree with the chard taste of his steak, but ate the salad alone. I had a taste of it and thought it was fine.

My sister wasn't too pleased with the chicken quesadilla but I thought they were decent...

My dish I was more than happy to get. Chicken enchilada with green sauce! It was perfect chicken, to taco, to sauce ratio. I had the almond green rice on the side to accompany my dish. I was in a little heaven. Being in Long island for so long... it's not easy finding restaurants that have decent food I'm used to.

This chicken finger dish was for my niece. I mean the portion was a bit too much, but i couldn't help steal one whole finger from her. Surprisingly, it was flavorful and not dry. The fries were crispy and not oily... my niece enjoyed what she ate as well.

My brother and my guy both had the chicken mole. They weren't too pleased and stated it was an acquiring taste. I agreed. The chocolate after taste was a bit bitter, but with the rice on the side it worked kind of well. Would I have picked that if I'd gone back... NO

Now for the star of the day! Their mango cheese cake.... Next photo if you will

I think everyone at the table was fighting for a at-least a third or fourth bite. My brother had it and I wish we ordered it along side with him. It's a must try!!!

What we did order to share was the Tres leche. It was really up my ally. Not too sweet but yummy. perfect consistency and share able. the fresh fruit added a little bit of freshness to it as well!

I would try this place once again and give it another review. But until then I'd say go there and see what you think!

I love good deals and when i saw a deal for 2 drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees for only $16 bucks i had to purchase!!! Below we have a very and strong coconut mojito. The girl behind the bar was extra nice to me and a friend of mine because we got more drinks after.

Below we have Flautas...it's like a rolled taco with meat and guacamole on the side. it was really good. After it was done I wanted more.
Here we have my friends entree which was some type of chicken in a spicy sauce. I forgot the name but it was really good. It came with soft tortillas on the side.
To go with both our entrees was a side of rice and beans. I love rice and beans especially if the rice has corn in it.
My Entree below was an enchilada ( something I always get in green sauce) that was really spicy. FYI do not eat a spicy dish and turn to a mojito...it just adds to the pain lol!
In all I had a good time and the deal was great. I would go back with or with out the deal. Oh and happy hour was on while we were there! $5 drinks were the bomb.com!!!!!
