This Groupon sounded like a regular old Groupon.... But boy oh BOY did we get an amazing surprise.

As you can see I could Barely get the full photo of this without missing a few pieces of bread!! That dip was beyond belief... Sun dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and a whole bunch of herbs and spices according to the waiter.... I will try to recreate this soon as well!!!

Peach Sangria... We had two of these and after the night was over, we had to walk around the bloc to ensure we were sober enough to get home LOL

Vieiras
Seared scallops, cinnamon, aioli, paprika oil, potato comfit, romesco

This right here was really good.. I can make this at home, What shocked me was when My hubby ate all the onions... Hats off the the chef!

Salmon con Spinacas
Seared salmon with sautéed spinach, bechamel & white truffle oil

This Salmon was to die for... If this place wasn't so far, I'd go back for this and a glass of wine... the portion was good for sharing, but even better if you wanted it for yourself.... I would love to recreate this dish at home soon!

Paella Valenciana
Lobster tail, shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken, chorizo, sofrito, saffron rice

This is the Paella for two... We got the seafood one of course and I must say, In all my life eating Paella and not really enjoying it, this was by far the BEST paella I ever had.... The flavors and portions of everything was just phenomenal. . The rice was not too soggy, the sauce and seafood were cooked to perfection, not over cooked... I mean OMG was this great...

Crema CatalanaHomemade custard topped with crystallized sugar

Desert was beyond amazing!!! My hubby usually does not like creme brule but the waiter insisted that we try it and oh my was it worth out wild!!

I wish We could take the chef home with us!!

I would definetly recommend this place!! I am actually going to buy another Groupon TODAY!!!

This place was nice, but the service was not the greatest...

Paella Marinera$29.95
Clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops and lobster in saffron rice

My Hubby got this and it was really good. The mini Lobsters int his dis was so delicious. I loved the extra saffron taste in the rice...

The waiter was horrible, he gave us a weird plate of veggies... It tasted good but It better not be on the bill!

Crepe de Txangurro $9.95
Crepes filled with crabmeat in piquillo pepper sauce

These crepes were delicious.. sad that it was so light and left you wanting more...

Salmon Relleno$25.95
De Cangrejo Al Vino
Salmon stuffed with crabmeat in wine sauce – allow 30 minutes for preparation

This was worth the wait... The sauce was really nice and light and the saffron rice from Hubby's dish made this even more delicious!!

I would like to go back but just to chill at the bar, we had a lot of issues in the dinning room, but the food was good enough to stay... We had sangria but I forgot to take a picture...

Dinner with my future step mother in-law , Oh how nice

Instead of doing happy hour, we opted to sit at a table and have a nice bottle of wine.

This bottle was really nice, glad It caught a flick because I will be hunting this down and purchasing it very soon!!

ALASKA COHO SALMON 34
with the DYNAMITE 7 Enhancement

This was my meal.... hold up now hold up... I know there are no flicks of appetizers and such, but believe you me, we could not fit any more food before these decadent entrees.

This salmon, is by far one of  THE BEST salmon dishes I ever had in a restaurant hands down.

I am doing back flips right now anticipating the next time I'm going to have the chance to go here once again!

Fist off you get to choose your style of cooking
Then you can add up upgrades and I was advised that the best one was the Dynamite because it;s a succulent sauce with crab meat on top.

YES it was by far the BEST choice ever... Sorry for the dark pics. I will go again and retake in another post :)

STUFFED AUSTRALIAN BARRAMUNDI FLORENTINE 32 Spinach, Crabmeat & Shrimp Stuffing Tomato-Chive Butte

My Fiance had this dish, I tried a sample and all I could say was Veggie heaven. Even though it was a full Fish dish, Every bite had veggies on the fork.

CANADA SWORDFISH 32

This was Future Mother In-Law's dish,  I never had Sward fish, and at first I wanted to ask where the rest of her dish was.
They treat the fish like a piece of Steak which is cool. I had the honor of tasting a piece and Understood why I was alone on the plate. It was cooked tot he perfect temperature and wow, I might have a reason now to try and cook it at home soon too!

With a meal like that... We had to get desert! and what better than Bread pudding!

Again so sorry for the dark pictures... Next visit will be better.

All I can say was that that too was an AMAzing bread pudding I ever had..... had chocolate chuncks in there

I say take your butt here for happy hour and test the waters before you go on and have dinner! either way I will Def go back again!

$40 or $80 to Spend at Harlem on Fifth Bar & Grill Harlem on Fifth Bar & Grill

What a great Coupon to utilize in an interesting location. At first I was a little skeptical because I rather coupons that have a set amount of items to choose from but that defeats the purpose of trying new things I guess, Any who ( no more rambling) I really enjoyed my time here with my boo and let me show you why!!

This is one side of their draft beer selection, and being a beer lover, I was able to select all of the lovely beers they has on tap and enjoyed!

TASTING STROLL ON 5TH
5 oz SAMPLING OF OUR SIX CRAFT BEERS$14.95

My Favorite Beers would have to be the Speakeasy, Harlem At fifth (hahahaha), and the Nutty neighbor. The drinks are lined up just the way they are listed, and taste oh so good.

RIESLING DR. HANS VON MULLER 2011
fruity aroma and semi-dry finish. Mosel, Germany

My boo had a few glasses of this really light and crisp wine. It was a good choice with the meal we had.

Here is a a side of some veggies to indulge in.

LEMON GLAZED SALMON
lemon, butter, white wine, herbs$22

CANDIED YAMS and Rice on the Side

This dish was interestingly good, but we were advised to get the teriyaki, and I wish we did. The Salmon needed a little Umph or something. It lacked something on int he seasoning but it was edible.

GRILLED SHRIMP MAC-N-CHEESE
shrimp, cilantro, parsley$12

This was a a cool dish, I wasn't too fond of it. I rather the Crab instead, more flavorful and delicious!!!

BLUE CRAB MAC-N-CHEESE
crab, parsley, panko bread crumbs$12

Here's what I really enjoyed!!!!
The bits and pieces of the blue crab and the mac and cheese here was a real treat! I really enjoyed this a lot

I would highly suggest going here! The staff is great, the food is good/great depending on what flavor you choose lol... All in all a great dinner was had here!

Out in the Berkshires,

There Special Spicy Margarita Was the bomb.com

I don't recall the actual name, but I do remember it having bits of jalapenos and orange juice in it. A great first start to the dinner out in the Berkshires.

Caipirinha

This was my boo's drink... I thought it was a bit weak but he liked it. Nice and sweet and refreshing... makes you wish it were warmer outside and had time to sun gaze.

Made to order and served in a stone molcajete. Includes tomato, onion, jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, lime, and salt.
Quesadilla Vegetables 10
This Veggie Quesadilla was the bomb.com... I mean I can't remember the last time I went to an establishment and they made their own wraps and it tasting so good like this... I honestly wanted to skip my entree and get another order of this.

You can't go wrong with well seasoned veggies and cheese to marry the ingredients all together. It's a match made in heaven.

This was my second drink. I was the waiters choice and promised that I would like it.... he was wrong but I drank it anyway adding the jalapenos from the last drink to it and it knocked my socks off. I gave the suggestion to the bartender...and I guess they will ad it to the menu!

Ceviche Tropical $ 11.
Our fresh selection of fish and shrimp in lime and light red salsa

First time really having ceviche and I tell you this much, I am a firm believer of this stuff. It was so good I mean it felt like we were at sea and a little lime and avocado made the dish sing. Oh how I could go for some more now as I write this!

Wild Salmon a la Veracruzana 25.
Sautéed with tomato, onions, garlic and jalapeño, served with field greens and rice

There were two salmon dishes... very misleading if I must say... One was wild.. which is my dish and the other al fuego....

I can tell you that the salmon was not wild...but it was delicious nonetheless and no complain except for the false notion of it being wild...  I loved the rice, and the tomatoes and the salad on top... I felt like I was at home with this plate of food. The chef knows what he is doing :)

Salmon al Fuego $ 20.
Broiled marinated salmon on a bed of sautéed wild mushrooms, served over organic mesclun greens

This dish, which also had rice, was really nice. I couldn't decided which one I liked the best... so we shared both plates with one another. I could have done without the mushrooms...which is why he got that order and I got mine.... A must try.

Tres leche

This was a nice way to end the entire meal. Nice and juicy cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream all around it, yummerzzz

When I am back out there I will def try some other dishes and order the two apps again hands down!

I wish they had other tropical items on the menu... because of the location they don't get plantains, and other items.... but it''s still worth a try. Go check them out you will not be disappointed!.

Asparagus Risotto with honey glazed salmon!

I am so so so happy to share this dish with you guys. I must first admit that the risotto was from trader joes in the frozen section... great shortcut for the work week to have such a decadent treat! The Salmon I made however, in an over,  on a very high heat to caramelize some of the honey/ brown sugar that I added to the marinate.

Other ingredients on the salmon include, oregano, micro greens, scallion garlic, cilantro and soy sauce. I might just make this dish again next week!!!

A not so happy happy hour here at Silvias.... let's cut to the chase in simple yet detailed descriptions of each ordered dish.

The best thing that hit the table besides the wine was the corn bread. What can I say.... Can you really mess up cornbread????
(Don't answer that)

The Salmon cakes.... Well these left little to the imagination of how good they would taste. I expected so much more from this place. The cakes were dry, flavorless... if i wasn't hungry I'd walk right out for this dish here alone.....

Here's a picture of all the sides:

The Rice: White rice very bland and lacked luster
The MAC AND CHEESE:
I thought the Salmon cakes were bad... I HAD TO ADD SALT to the mac and cheese, and the cheese was barely melted on the dish... coagulated cheese is a HUGE No No in my book of mac
And the collard Greens
This I did not try because I was already mad at the first few things...

The cat Fish was actually okay but still needed some type of life to them. I added pepper and salt.

Now the lack there of in regards to the happy hour was the biggest turn off. The waiter had no idea what was on special and then came back and said that only the resling was on special. All other drinks were pretty high in price. So we settle for them and they were pretty okay.

I would not be going back to this place. Well maybe in a year or so... I was really disappointed at this place because I thought they had some type of potential... Oh well Till next time
