Brunch On Mothers day :)

Brunch here is a two courses and drinks are a la carte...

The Shrimp and Grits

My Hubby thought this was delicious... I loved the charred flavor on the shrimp portion I got to taste, and the grits (polenta) was really nice! I would love the bigger portion next time!

My First Course

Muscles in Champange Sauce

Holy cow was this amazing! So amazing I had to get another order of this dish... I didn't even want my second course any more... This has to be the best muscle dish I ever had in my life!... Hence the lucky free mini order then full paid order that followed!!

Hubby and I got this Bellini, The were only $5 a piece and very delicious... We were getting drunk quick.. The mix was some type of pear and peach combo with the champagne... So good!!

My order of pancakes.. they were cool, but my eyes and heart were fixated on the muscles.. so I requested having these packed to go.. which I eventually ended up forgetting and oh well...

French Toast

He said it was amazing, I tried it and it was... no complaints on my end... only that I didn't want the pancakes and wondered why I ordered them instead of the crepes...

How cute is the syrup and whip cream on the side though!

Try this Place out! I know I will again... Oh and they have a cigar lounge downstairs... I am going to try that ish one day!

Lobster Crab & Artichoke Dip

Sweet lobster and lump crab with artichoke, mozzarella and Fontina cheese, lobster sour cream, served with seasoned housemade tortilla chips

This was good, but it needed something, ike maybe salt or something.. outside of that it was good.

Bang Bang Shrimp
Crispy, tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce.

This came out kind of cold.. We were trying to figure out why people raved about this... I wouldn't get it again.

Misoyaki Sea Bass
Grilled over oak, then topped with misoyaki marinade & pickle ginger relish, on a bed of sautéed spinach, mushrooms, jasmine rice

This was a really nice dish... It's something I would make at home, I might come back for this if they have it as a special again.

White Truffle Mac & Cheese

This was okay.. could not really taste the truffle, it didn't have a flavor really, it just looked really god coming out, but not going in....

Fresh Swordfish & Pumpkin Ravioli
Wood-grilled Swordfish with seasonal pumpkin ravioli, topped with crispy onions, crumbled feta and a hint of butter, complimented with a side of french green beans

My husband did not like this dish at all... it needed some type of love or something to it in order to make it taste even remotely good.

Our Drinks tonight were:
Signature Red or White Sangria
choice of Blackberry Red or Sparkling Mango White

We would go back, but nothing made us want to rush here before any other dinner possible night!!

$40 or $80 to Spend at Harlem on Fifth Bar & Grill Harlem on Fifth Bar & Grill

What a great Coupon to utilize in an interesting location. At first I was a little skeptical because I rather coupons that have a set amount of items to choose from but that defeats the purpose of trying new things I guess, Any who ( no more rambling) I really enjoyed my time here with my boo and let me show you why!!

This is one side of their draft beer selection, and being a beer lover, I was able to select all of the lovely beers they has on tap and enjoyed!

TASTING STROLL ON 5TH
5 oz SAMPLING OF OUR SIX CRAFT BEERS$14.95

My Favorite Beers would have to be the Speakeasy, Harlem At fifth (hahahaha), and the Nutty neighbor. The drinks are lined up just the way they are listed, and taste oh so good.

RIESLING DR. HANS VON MULLER 2011
fruity aroma and semi-dry finish. Mosel, Germany

My boo had a few glasses of this really light and crisp wine. It was a good choice with the meal we had.

Here is a a side of some veggies to indulge in.

LEMON GLAZED SALMON
lemon, butter, white wine, herbs$22

CANDIED YAMS and Rice on the Side

This dish was interestingly good, but we were advised to get the teriyaki, and I wish we did. The Salmon needed a little Umph or something. It lacked something on int he seasoning but it was edible.

GRILLED SHRIMP MAC-N-CHEESE
shrimp, cilantro, parsley$12

This was a a cool dish, I wasn't too fond of it. I rather the Crab instead, more flavorful and delicious!!!

BLUE CRAB MAC-N-CHEESE
crab, parsley, panko bread crumbs$12

Here's what I really enjoyed!!!!
The bits and pieces of the blue crab and the mac and cheese here was a real treat! I really enjoyed this a lot

I would highly suggest going here! The staff is great, the food is good/great depending on what flavor you choose lol... All in all a great dinner was had here!

Lunch with friends

First appetizer was this pretty cool rock shrimp tempura. I really liked it, thought that it was a great way to start off the lunch. Not the best I've ever had... but it does taste pretty good.

Rock Shrimp Tempura

Shrimp Veggie Roll

This was hinted to me that it was super good... Well in my opinion... it was okay... but I could have done with out it. I liked the rock shrimp better.

Salmon Teriyaki Lunch Bento

My bento box was cool... I opted to get the veggie rice because the picture looked so good... I ended up eating all the rice, shumai, and ginger and a little bit of the salmon,,, The salmon was pretty bland and I could not really understand why I chose this dish..

I hear this place has a really good happy hour... I might try it one day and see how that works out... till then I am still on the fence about this place.

THAI SHRIMP
$14
lightly fried tossed in buffalo or thai sauce

They just do not give you enough of this!
If I were the chef, I would add a few more pieces, better yet, I'd add these to the grilled cheese below... because that's my favorite lunch combo...

LOADED GRILLED CHEESE
$12
provolone, mozzarella, Parmesan, arugula, tomato w/ fries

I could never finish the entire sandwich. However, I must say that this is a great dish to have for lunch. pretty affordable and great flavor... I love the crust that the bread has when you first bite into it... Yummy. It also holds up well if you save it for later... double yummerz!!!!

This is a nice place for eating lunch if you have the $$ to go there. I would rather say it's a better place during happy hour. I would also suggest Eating at the bar to guarantee better service.

Black Forest Pretzel Bites

Could have tried to not order this dish...

I love this place for most of it's dishes.... I would Come back again

Ludlow,

One of my fave places to frequent on the island.

Special Pizza of the week...what can i say all their Pizzas are delicious here.... they never repeat so that's a douzy but you will never go wrong with what they come up with.

This was a shrimp with spinach, cheese and goodness all smacked into a thin crust pizza.

Special Red Snapper on a bed of risotto

I died and went to heaven.... I need the chef to come and cook for me every day!!
So creamy and light, fresh and warming...this is what you call comfort food.

Go there if i bet you a great time and good food while your at it!!!

AHHHHHHHHH

I found a great Thai place in Long island... if only you could see me doing the running man right now you'd laugh!!!

Green Tea Bubble Tea

This was a really good green tea drink. I haven't found bubble tea in LI and saw this and was blown away. You kind of get tired of the bubbles after a while and just want tea...

Thai ice Tea

This was so good we had 2 more of these each... I forgot about my bubble tea.

Chive Pancakes

Again another dish I don't find often in Thai restaurants, these are delicious. A great salty balance to it. Crispy outside, chewy inside... Oh how I love chives.

Spring Rolls

These spring rolls were light and fresh, mostly veggies and it was an amazing flavor combo with the fish sauce (not commonly used).

Coconut Shrimp Yummerz

There wasn't enough of these Shrimp on the table!!! We both had two each and wanted more. Nice big size Shrimp...but 2 more would have been good.

Steamed Muscles

These Muscles were colossal sized. I mean I wanted to take a shell and make a necklace out of it. That's how big they were. The broth was really nice, all the veggies in there really helped... It could have been a meal on it's own with some rice.

Veggie Panang Curry

My BF's dish was really good. Nice kick to it... but too much of a few veggies he didn't like...

Veggie Fried Rice

Not a fan... grat presentation, but it was a little bland. I had to stead a little of my BF's Panang sauce to put on my rice...

It was a really good experience here. i would def go back again and again, but not order all that food hahahahahaha.

Yum Yum's other spot is pretty cool.

Here is the Thai Ice tea that I had. I really wanted a cocktail, but nothing was on special. That really sucked as I would have rather-ed ate at Yum Yum and had a drink there for cheap!! Oh well... this was a really good Thai Ice tea and I have no complaints about this.

For the first appetizer, I really miss coconut soup with chicken in it... so I tested the waters and asked for vegetables. It was the best suggestion I ever made!!! The veggies were fresh, and the soup was just divine... It was a bigger portion then that of it's other location.

The vegetable dumplings were really good. Nice sauce on the bottom and awesome veggies inside of it. The other appetizer options would have been great too if I ate meat... next time I'll go with a co-worker and see what they think of the food.

The Panang here is totally different. They added a huge chunk of pumpkin in the middle of the curry. It was very very good. Something different at a sort of chain made me feel really really good. I would def have this dish again.

The coconut shrimp was disappointing. It was just fried too long, or the oil needed to be changed. I could barely finish the dish, and yes I was hungry hence all that food. The flavor wasn't there for me either... oh well maybe next time.

I would def come back here again and try other dishes. Till next time!!!

Thai food in Lee Mass,

Let's get right to it!

We ordered a lot of food because we were hungry and my eyes are bigger than my stomach all the time.

GREEN CURRY With string beans, egg plants, red & green peppers, yellow squash, zucchini and basil leaves.

This was the veggie version and we liked it. Not spicy at all though and was really rich and creamy because of the coconut milk they used. Oh what a great dish it was!!!

SIAMESE FRIED RICE
Delicious fried rice with chicken, shrimps, egg, onions, snow peas, green pea, baby corns, carrots, sweet corn, tomato, scallions and cilantro.

This rice was good. Over whelmed with veggies this is a great vegetarian dish to eat.

Oh my my my... the Coconut shrimp was out of this world. The fresh coconut flavors, and the sauce was my favorite dish of all the ones we tried that day!!! I wish I could take that recipe back with me to NY

ROLL “J”Vegetarian spring rolls, delicate and crispy. Served with sweet-sour sauce

These Spring rolls were different from what I've been accustomed to and really enjoyed it. hands down the second best dish we tried here. Same sauce as the shrimp.

Vegetable Panang
Kind of disappointing to say the least. It was the most expensive thing they had and it came with no rice. My bill was mostly high  because of this dish (not a happy camper) We had to order and extra order of rice... (they thought the veggie rice was plenty rice) Did I mention I had a CARB love affair......

Thai Lotus Wine Yummerzzz

This was a really good glass of wine, and the funny thing is that they actually have this bottle in my local wine store (picked up a bottle on my way back home the next day)

Here's the Wine menu if you are interested in the name/brand of the other ones.

Their Thai Ice tea was on point as well.... cannot complain here either.

All in all, we were happy we found a place with decent food, our other options weren't very promising. We would def go back again, but might only order a few of what we had this day!!! Till next time!!!
