I was refereed to this place by my step mom as she and a few people she knows frequent for special occasions

I was more than excited to try this place after getting so many reviews from people

Here is a caipirinha, one of my favorite drinks lately... I event went as far as buying the special Rum just to make it at home... and guess what... the bottle is almost done... hahahaha

My Fiance ordered the frozen strawberry margarita which was surprisingly good and slightly creamy!

To go with our dinner we ordered the champagne Sangria.. Oh boy am I mad I did not ask what champagne they used so that I could recreate this drink on my own!!!

It was beyond delicious and crisp... I will go back for happy hour and have my own pitcher and then ask!

FRIED CALAMARI
Served with tomato Sauce
$10.95

This is what you call well seasoned and fresh calamari... I've have really bad calamari in my day and boy was I glad this was not an epic fail !!!

Each entree comes with a choice of soup or salad, The soup had meat in it so we both got the salad

The table receives a plate of rice and chips with their order which is really nice. I loved the taste of that saffron rice on its own

OMG was it good and flavorfull... Guilty please for me

PAN SEARED CHILEAN SEA BASS/LEMON CAPERS SAUCE/SHRIMP /SAUTEED SPINACH
$32.95

Let me start off by saying this dish simply melted in my mouth. It was well seasoned

I'm dreaming about it right now and honestly am thinking about going back there after this post!!

PAELLA MARINERA
Clams, Mussels, Shrimp and Scallops
in Saffron Rice
$20.95

Here's what my Fiance had and his dish was spectacular. They gave so much we thankfully had leftovers for the next day!

The lobster was an added bonus to the dish and I quite frankly and glad the waiter suggested it!

TRES LECHES

My mini birthday cake was good! I was already stuffed at this point but I was able to scarf down half of this and it was really good

Of all the reviews I had prior to coming here, I see why this place was recommended to me, and why I am recommending it to you!

Romance is in the air! Did somebody say Coupon and a great deal at that?? Well Here is one of the best Groupon Dates I've been on and most affordable one at that.

What you get for

  • $59 for a three-course, upscale prix fixe Mexican dinner for two ($110 value)
  • Includes Two apps, Two Entree's and Two Deserts
  • Drinks not included....
SANGRIAS
MANGO PEACH
vino blanco / peach schnapps / mango / peach

So this wasn't included, but we didn't care and ordered a pitcher. It wasn't strong but it was really tasty. I will try and make this at home for a party or something. So summery or Spring like.

 Small Pitcher 30

ENSALADA MIXTA
mixed greens / jicama / avocado / mango / serrano pepper vinaigrette 13

This was one of the appetizers/ salads. I wonder what the real size is because of the price on the regular menu versus the groupon deal. Any who.... It was a tangy and appetizing salad. The jicama and the avocado was a really nice combo in this salad. I would def try this once again.

CAMARON
shrimp / habanero sauce / cilantro / red onion 15

This is the second best Ceviche I've had being that it's my second time only having it. Really well flavored, I tasted like a passion fruit background with that awesome lime kick at the end. Very light and fresh flavors. I really enjoyed the big pieces, but not overly big. You could enjoy every ingredient in one bite. Very romantic!

ROBALO PLACIDO

pan seared black sea bass / roasted tomato-chipotle enchilada / black bean tru e purée / plantain chutney 30

My entree was delicious. Very artsy and different. I never had something like this before. The Sea bass was nicly seasoned, and the veggies were all cooked well. What blew my mind was the drizzle of truffle oil and the enchilada woah! Amazing dish all together.

MARISCADA
bay scallops / calamari / shrimp / octopus / cilantro rice / achiote coconut sauce / grilled pineapple 30

My boo's dish was equally as amazing. The RICE was out of this world. We need to try and recreate this at home at some point. All the seafood was cooked to perfection, and then the sauce, Omg I had to stop picking at his plate in order to finish mine, and when I was done with mine I wanted to eat more of his!

Helados
y Nieves assorted gelato & sorbets

Caramel Gelato and Coconut Gelato

His desert was cool... Not much to elaborate on but that one was coconut and the other was caramel.

CHOCOFLAN
dark chocolate / caramel flan / candied pecans / 10

This Flan was decadent to say the least. I had a really good time eating this. Very different, Only thing I wanted though was it to taste a little more that dulce de leche... but beggers can't be choosers.

I feel as though another groupon here will do, regular price would be pushing it. From the looks of it, it's a date night place or an office happy hour spot. Either way, there needs to be an incentive like a cheaper meal to go back, with out that I wouldn't really press it.

Here is a collection of what my date and I had to eat with the coupon.

Here is a salad, the dressing I could not put my finger on it

The bread, cheese and peppers (oh yeah and the olives ehh)

This was a cool item to have as an appetizer

His pasta was so delicious, I really liked the sauce, it tasted homemade omg

This Pizza was cool... I was a bit too full when I got to my second slice, Mind you We had a Tarte next door smh LOL

Out in the Berkshires,

There Special Spicy Margarita Was the bomb.com

I don't recall the actual name, but I do remember it having bits of jalapenos and orange juice in it. A great first start to the dinner out in the Berkshires.

Caipirinha

This was my boo's drink... I thought it was a bit weak but he liked it. Nice and sweet and refreshing... makes you wish it were warmer outside and had time to sun gaze.

Made to order and served in a stone molcajete. Includes tomato, onion, jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, lime, and salt.
Quesadilla Vegetables 10
This Veggie Quesadilla was the bomb.com... I mean I can't remember the last time I went to an establishment and they made their own wraps and it tasting so good like this... I honestly wanted to skip my entree and get another order of this.

You can't go wrong with well seasoned veggies and cheese to marry the ingredients all together. It's a match made in heaven.

This was my second drink. I was the waiters choice and promised that I would like it.... he was wrong but I drank it anyway adding the jalapenos from the last drink to it and it knocked my socks off. I gave the suggestion to the bartender...and I guess they will ad it to the menu!

Ceviche Tropical $ 11.
Our fresh selection of fish and shrimp in lime and light red salsa

First time really having ceviche and I tell you this much, I am a firm believer of this stuff. It was so good I mean it felt like we were at sea and a little lime and avocado made the dish sing. Oh how I could go for some more now as I write this!

Wild Salmon a la Veracruzana 25.
Sautéed with tomato, onions, garlic and jalapeño, served with field greens and rice

There were two salmon dishes... very misleading if I must say... One was wild.. which is my dish and the other al fuego....

I can tell you that the salmon was not wild...but it was delicious nonetheless and no complain except for the false notion of it being wild...  I loved the rice, and the tomatoes and the salad on top... I felt like I was at home with this plate of food. The chef knows what he is doing :)

Salmon al Fuego $ 20.
Broiled marinated salmon on a bed of sautéed wild mushrooms, served over organic mesclun greens

This dish, which also had rice, was really nice. I couldn't decided which one I liked the best... so we shared both plates with one another. I could have done without the mushrooms...which is why he got that order and I got mine.... A must try.

Tres leche

This was a nice way to end the entire meal. Nice and juicy cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream all around it, yummerzzz

When I am back out there I will def try some other dishes and order the two apps again hands down!

I wish they had other tropical items on the menu... because of the location they don't get plantains, and other items.... but it''s still worth a try. Go check them out you will not be disappointed!.

Baked Clams

Not something I would order again...

Banana Chocolate Empanadas

These were really good, great flavor

Black Forest Pretzel Bites

Could have tried to not order this dish...

I love this place for most of it's dishes.... I would Come back again

A perfect day came to a perfect night. After the Garrison cafe, I didn't know if we'd find another great spot and I was wrong!

Here we have the toasted bread with the house made oil concoction. The concoction was delicious. It had nothing but spicy herbs and vegetables, I wanted a bottle of that stuff. Luckily they kept bringing more delicious bread so I was good!

The special appetizer for the night was a seared scallop with bok choy and garlic. It was out of this world. This is a picture of half of the Portion served. It's not enough for an appetizer to share, but we will be back for that!! The bok choy was seasoned really well and the scallops were cooked to perfection... Why tease us with such a small portion!!! Next time we know to order two of those!

Here's a salad that comes with the main entree's. It had blue cheese (not a fan) and a balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on it. I could have done without the salad. BF loved it....
to each is own I say

Red wine.. no I don't recall the name or the type... but it was a perfect glass to end a perfect day upstate New York. I can't wait to go back up there!!

Lobster Ravioli with Chardonnay wine sun-dried tomato cream…22.95 This was a really well executed lobster ravioli. Most places you can kind of taste if it was home made or not, and this place knocked it right out of the park for me. What I also liked was the chunks of lobster, they didn't shred it too much and add any fillers... Well worth a try I kid you not!!

This was a seafood pasta made on the fly... BF couldn't decide what he wanted, so the waiter suggested the chef make this. It was made really well... a little heavy on the garlic but still a really good fresh seafood dish. Couldn't ask for more.

We should have ended with desert but we were too full and had to head back to the city. All in All this was a great place to stumble upon. Great waiter, amazing food, and good prices.

Go check them out if your in the area!!!
