Hudson Bond Lunch

This place is really a hidden gem. I can't understand why they changed their menu though. I was really excited to order another dish, but they blew my socks off when I tried the dish the waiter recommended. 

The website needs to update their current menu items, They are misleading with what they have and what they don't have. Below we have an amazing Black linguini pasta with snap peas and lobster, in a light cream sauce. When i tell you this was heavenly, I almost fell out my chair. This was lunch time, so the portion was more than enough, given the fact that I had their crab cake sliders as well. 

This dish was roughly under $22 and the amount of lobster you got in this dish undoubtedly fooled me. I thought the pricing for this dish should have been easily $30-40. That's how much lobster was in this dish. I was stuffed to capacity that when i got back to my desk I couldn't stay awake or speak properly. I was indeed in a food induced coma.

I would highly recommend coming here for lunch if you have a few extra bucks to spend, or even embark on a happy hour adventure there. the service is good, and the food is even better!!! Till next time.

Del Frisco (Cousin's Special Birthday Lunch)

Fine dining is something that I love to do. But, my budget for this blog doesn't amount to the money I spent on this lunch. One day I might have a blog just about FINE dining in the sense of $$$$ restaurant when I make it big as a  well know Blogger, but until then, these types of excursions will be very rare and really special!

My cousin, is someone I look up to. A role model so to speak, so when she explained that she wasn't really doing anything on the day of her birthday, but two weeks after I felt like Judith to the rescue!!! Her palette has tasted nothing short of the word FINE or well renowned cuisine, so it was only fair we both had lunch at one of her favorite steak houses. 

Here we have a crab cake that is not your typical crab cake, but a crab cake like no other. The word lump does not fall shy in this dish, hopefully the picture captures the true essence and detail of this magnificent creature transformed into a dish that many has tried, and failed to master. My friends... If you have not tried a true crab cake from Del Frisco's then you have certainly done a disservice to yourself and your friends. I can not describe how mouth watering, and decadent this dish was. My mouth is watering thinking how I've passed this restaurant many a times and did not know this dish existed.... enough rambling... please do yourself a favor and your friends and GO GET THIS CRAB CAKE NOW!!!!!

Cajun Lobster Sauce

Because it was lunch time, and steak houses are well known for their big portions, we decided to share a steak and a side. Never have I ever had a lobster mac and cheese so delicious as this. The bechamel sauce was like no other. The richness of the cheese and the fresh chunks of lobster carried me to a place I did not want to leave.

We had he Rib-eye cooked medium well, the plate they put in front of us were nice and hot with parsley and butter. the waiter served us both equal portions of the steak and boy was he a GREAT waiter. The steak melted in our mouth. I mean literately it was inexpiable guys. Where do you find meat so delicious and make it so buttery. Where???

Blue Water Grill (Bridal Shower!)

This Lunch/ Dinner was amazing  I love love love food, wine, and celebrations. Thank god it was girls only, that helped with me pigging out and having fun with the ladies. 

For $45 a person, this prefixed lunch was to die for. (free resling to toast with!!)

                                                            Jumbo Lump Crab Cake

I shared this crab cake with one of my cousins. We agreed to order one of each item on the menu to maximize our tasting pleasures of the prefix meal we were able to have. 

It was a real Lump crab cake, it was nice, light, airy and fresh. I wish we could have had two of these!!!

                                   Shrimp & Lobster Spring Roll

What I ordered for my appetizer was this. It was beyond delicious. So mad I had only four pieces, and shared two!!! compared to the crab cake, I'd order this again....with the crab cake LOL

The Coconut sauce was delicious, the yuzu sauce I could have done without...

I didn't order this, but the small amount that I did have was heavenly. it was a different kind of lobster roll. can't quite put my finger on it, but sans bacon, I would definitely order this on my next excursion!!!

                              Crispy Skin Scottish Salmon

spring onion, cherry tomato, blue foot mushrooms, saffron-borlotti

I ordered this dish and was somewhat satisfied. There was no problem with the Salmon, but if you were as hungry as I was with no breakfast, this was a tease compared to the lobster roll. I was not really into the beans on the bottom, but the sauce on the bottom was beyond delicious. If there were more starch added to the dish, I might have been more satisfied.....

                                    Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee

This was REALLY delicious. i had only one bite, but I snuck in another two or three because the brulee part was to die for!!! Nice and decadent... I need one now as I write this.

This is what I had to eat. Banana, vanilla, and chocolate gelato was delicious. Surprisingly enough, my most favorite was the banana. It tasted more true to it's name. I would def get this again!! 

Over all, this place was nice and sexy. For any occasion I'd recommend people to go. Next time I go, I would probably go with my  gut and order the lobster roll, and maybe other items on the menu.
