Lunch with an old friend doesn't get any better than this!!

Zin Burger is a new burger place that hit Long island. Never heard of it till I saw someone check into it on Four Square. So I had to try it

Here the waitress insisted that we try the truffle fries. We weren't sure if that was too much food or not with the other things we ordered. We ordered it any way and it was pretty food. I really liked the truffle aioli that accompanied the tries. I was in heaven!

Double Truffle Fries – $6
Truffle Aioli, Parmesan Cheese & Truffle Oil

What I really liked about this place was that they can do half burger/ salad if both parties at the table want to share their meal. Below we have half of a Kobe beef burger with out mushrooms, and a salad with chicken. Below is exactly what we had.

The Napa – $6/$9
Organic Greens, Dried Fruit, Marcona Almonds,
Goat Cheese & Goat Cheese Vinaigrette

 Kobe Burger* – $15
American Style Kobe Beef, Cheddar Cheese,
Wild Mushrooms & Mayo

I inhaled my plate faster than my friend could. I was a bit hungry still but gluttony at a burger place is not flattering at all.

I took a picture of this just to remind me that  need to go here on a Wednesday.

We also had wine,  the d’Arenberg “Stump Jump” – G.S.M. Blend - which was extremely nice and smooth. I would definitely get a bottle of that on a Wednesday!!!

I really enjoyed my experience here, I would totally recommend this place to a burger, beer, wine, salad lover of all kind. This is a cool chill place to go after shopping, or just because!!

I hope you find one near you or make the trip out here for a good ole burger! Till next time!!

I Live for restaurant  deals and coupons. So when a friend told me I had one waiting for me in my Email I just HAD to check it out.

I Love sushi, and Japanese cuisine all together, but this place is super expensive (because it's in Times Square) so this deal too  me by surprise. I went twice, on Wednesday night and on Thursday. (yes I'm a greedy person)

Here is a screen shot of the menu. For $40 you get a shared appetizer, two entrees, a desert, and a bottle of either wine or Sake. Now tell me that is not a deal worth trying?

Although the deal came with some booze already, I just HAD to try their special cocktail of the month the Black Sapphire. I WAS so happy that I did. (Lush is my middle name)

My friend also decided to get one and she too felt beyond

This right here is King Crab Dumplings. Oh so edible and oh so little to share. I would definitely want to have this again. What I really liked was that the Crab was not Imitation but real lumpy crab in the dumplings. What a delightful surprise.

Here's a closer look at them :)

For my entree, I decided to go for the Salmon teriyaki. My favorite Japanese dish hands down. The fish was seared really well, and the sauce might have been the best tasting teriyaki sauce I might have ever had. I would definitely stop by for lunch here.

Here's my bowl of rice... nothing fancy, but good all the same.

Friendship harmony... No we were actually fighting for the last piece, and it broke in half perfectly!

Here is a collage of what my friend took for her meal. On the bottom right, you will see that she decided to go with the sushi platter. I tried a few and it was really fresh and delicious.

This is the wine we chose to drink. I'm not a fan of white wine, but with the combination of the cocktail and the wine.. It didn't really matter much at that point :)

For desert we had the banana spring rolls. They were hot and crunchy and gooey. However, somewhat healthy all the same. We were both also wondering how the ice cream might have tasted. Oh well!

I was really happy that we went here. I was even more happy that I went twice and both times had amazing food. I would love for them to do this deal once again!!

Birthday dinners are awesome, especially when you get to try new places at that. This was a food adventure for 5 women on a special night.

Here, something I dare not try was a pallet cleanser... I'll say It did not really cleanse anything.

‘Chicken n’ Waffles’ - $19
brick pressed chicken, aged cheddar waffle,
corn pudding, balsamic spiked maple syrup

This dish was okay. My issue was that it did not come in 5 pieces as the following items did, so we had to share a piece. The waffle was a bit soggy as well, but the flavor profiles were awesome.

Rhode Island Lobster Roll $10

These Lobster rolls were good, but for a "Tapas" style restaurant, you'd think they'd explain that these were $10 a pop instead of insinuating that a roll would be cut up into pieces for the table. It was good...but bad communication was a problem.

Baked Spanakopita -
phyllo, spinach, feta, lemon aioli $8

This was good, but I wasn't too crazy about it. I think if the wrap was friend a little longer it would have been better, considering that everything inside was soggy, the outer layer should have been crisp.

Red Snapper Tacos -
creamy avocado, spicy mango $10
These tacos were everything. I was really happy we ordered these tacos. It was full of flavor and I wanted more than just one! This is a must order item.

Maryland Jumbo Lump
Crab cake ‘Corn Dogs’ $14

These crab cake corn dogs were to die for. I remember trying to savor the moment of each bite. They did a really good job getting that crab on there. Wish we ordered two of these!!

Cranberry Flower
Hendrick’s Gin, cranberry compote,
fresh lemon, lemon syrup

I took a sip of this drink and thought it was good, my friend thought it was strong. I love Gin, and it's an acquired spirit that grows on some people and sometimes it doesn't... I'd order it if I could afford it (hahaha)

Brooklyn Lemonade
Brooklyn Gin, lemon syrup, fresh lemon, muddled cucumber, ginger beer

This drink made us all think of summer time, outside just soaking in the sun. Yea, summer where are you? I would get this drink. Luckily, one girl didn't want hers so I was fortunate enough to get half of it. Nice and refreshing.

Strawberry Fields
Grey Goose Citron, muddled fresh strawberries, lemon syrup, fresh lemon
& a Riesling floater

The birthday girls drink was tasty. I'm not into sweet drinks, so this wouldn't be on my radar, but from the look on her face, she enjoyed it.

Blood Orange-Jalapeño Margarita
jalapeño-infused Milagro Reposado, blood orange juice, fresh lime, Cointreau

This was my drink. AND I LOVED IT. YES I DID. The spicy and the tart, and the alcohol all made me warm and tingly inside. Or maybe it was just really hot in the restaurant.... Anyway, the waiter mentioned that it was his favorite drink and I agree!!! It is a Must try drink.

Old School Meatballs - $14
basil & ricotta ‘manicotti’

These meatballs were really tasty. They instantly made me want a side of Penne al dente and some wine. It was really that good.

Social Mac & Cheese -
chorizo, roasted poblanos $12

This was sans chorizo,  It was not the best Mac and cheese I've ever had......

All in all... this place was cool and sexy. Would I come again... Not sure, But I think it's a great place for a group of people to try new food ideas gourmet style... Till next time!!
