This Lunch/ Dinner was amazing  I love love love food, wine, and celebrations. Thank god it was girls only, that helped with me pigging out and having fun with the ladies.
For $45 a person, this prefixed lunch was to die for. (free resling to toast with!!)

pickled vegetables, meyer lemon aioli

I shared this crab cake with one of my cousins. We agreed to order one of each item on the menu to maximize our tasting pleasures of the prefix meal we were able to have.

It was a real Lump crab cake, it was nice, light, airy and fresh. I wish we could have had two of these!!!

      spicy coconut sauce, yuzu-mustard sauce

What I ordered for my appetizer was this. It was beyond delicious. So mad I had only four pieces, and shared two!!! compared to the crab cake, I'd order this again....with the crab cake LOL

The Coconut sauce was delicious, the yuzu sauce I could have done without...

over all welly good dish

herb mayonnaise, crispy bacon, celery, waffle fries

I didn't order this, but the small amount that I did have was heavenly. it was a different kind of lobster roll. can't quite put my finger on it, but sans bacon, I would definitely order this on my next excursion!!!

spring onion, cherry tomato, blue foot mushrooms, saffron-borlotti

I ordered this dish and was somewhat satisfied. There was no problem with the Salmon, but if you were as hungry as I was with no breakfast, this was a tease compared to the lobster roll. I was not really into the beans on the bottom, but the sauce on the bottom was beyond delicious. If there were more starch added to the dish, I might have been more satisfied.....

pistachio biscotti

This was REALLY delicious. i had only one bite, but I snuck in another two or three because the brulee part was to die for!!! Nice and decadent... I need one now as I write this.

    assorted flavors of the day

This is what I had to eat. Banana, vanilla, and chocolate gelato was delicious. Surprisingly enough, my most favorite was the banana. It tasted more true to it's name. I would def get this again!!

Over all, this place was nice and sexy. For any occasion I'd recommend people to go. Next time I go, I would probably go with my  gut and order the lobster roll, and maybe other items on the menu.

Till next time!!!

Lunch with an old friend doesn't get any better than this!!

Zin Burger is a new burger place that hit Long island. Never heard of it till I saw someone check into it on Four Square. So I had to try it

Here the waitress insisted that we try the truffle fries. We weren't sure if that was too much food or not with the other things we ordered. We ordered it any way and it was pretty food. I really liked the truffle aioli that accompanied the tries. I was in heaven!

Double Truffle Fries – $6
Truffle Aioli, Parmesan Cheese & Truffle Oil

What I really liked about this place was that they can do half burger/ salad if both parties at the table want to share their meal. Below we have half of a Kobe beef burger with out mushrooms, and a salad with chicken. Below is exactly what we had.

The Napa – $6/$9
Organic Greens, Dried Fruit, Marcona Almonds,
Goat Cheese & Goat Cheese Vinaigrette

 Kobe Burger* – $15
American Style Kobe Beef, Cheddar Cheese,
Wild Mushrooms & Mayo

I inhaled my plate faster than my friend could. I was a bit hungry still but gluttony at a burger place is not flattering at all.

I took a picture of this just to remind me that  need to go here on a Wednesday.

We also had wine,  the d’Arenberg “Stump Jump” – G.S.M. Blend - which was extremely nice and smooth. I would definitely get a bottle of that on a Wednesday!!!

I really enjoyed my experience here, I would totally recommend this place to a burger, beer, wine, salad lover of all kind. This is a cool chill place to go after shopping, or just because!!

I hope you find one near you or make the trip out here for a good ole burger! Till next time!!

I Live for restaurant  deals and coupons. So when a friend told me I had one waiting for me in my Email I just HAD to check it out.

I Love sushi, and Japanese cuisine all together, but this place is super expensive (because it's in Times Square) so this deal too  me by surprise. I went twice, on Wednesday night and on Thursday. (yes I'm a greedy person)

Here is a screen shot of the menu. For $40 you get a shared appetizer, two entrees, a desert, and a bottle of either wine or Sake. Now tell me that is not a deal worth trying?

Although the deal came with some booze already, I just HAD to try their special cocktail of the month the Black Sapphire. I WAS so happy that I did. (Lush is my middle name)

My friend also decided to get one and she too felt beyond

This right here is King Crab Dumplings. Oh so edible and oh so little to share. I would definitely want to have this again. What I really liked was that the Crab was not Imitation but real lumpy crab in the dumplings. What a delightful surprise.

Here's a closer look at them :)

For my entree, I decided to go for the Salmon teriyaki. My favorite Japanese dish hands down. The fish was seared really well, and the sauce might have been the best tasting teriyaki sauce I might have ever had. I would definitely stop by for lunch here.

Here's my bowl of rice... nothing fancy, but good all the same.

Friendship harmony... No we were actually fighting for the last piece, and it broke in half perfectly!

Here is a collage of what my friend took for her meal. On the bottom right, you will see that she decided to go with the sushi platter. I tried a few and it was really fresh and delicious.

This is the wine we chose to drink. I'm not a fan of white wine, but with the combination of the cocktail and the wine.. It didn't really matter much at that point :)

For desert we had the banana spring rolls. They were hot and crunchy and gooey. However, somewhat healthy all the same. We were both also wondering how the ice cream might have tasted. Oh well!

I was really happy that we went here. I was even more happy that I went twice and both times had amazing food. I would love for them to do this deal once again!!

Birthday dinners are awesome, especially when you get to try new places at that. This was a food adventure for 5 women on a special night.

Here, something I dare not try was a pallet cleanser... I'll say It did not really cleanse anything.

‘Chicken n’ Waffles’ - $19
brick pressed chicken, aged cheddar waffle,
corn pudding, balsamic spiked maple syrup

This dish was okay. My issue was that it did not come in 5 pieces as the following items did, so we had to share a piece. The waffle was a bit soggy as well, but the flavor profiles were awesome.

Rhode Island Lobster Roll $10

These Lobster rolls were good, but for a "Tapas" style restaurant, you'd think they'd explain that these were $10 a pop instead of insinuating that a roll would be cut up into pieces for the table. It was good...but bad communication was a problem.

Baked Spanakopita -
phyllo, spinach, feta, lemon aioli $8

This was good, but I wasn't too crazy about it. I think if the wrap was friend a little longer it would have been better, considering that everything inside was soggy, the outer layer should have been crisp.

Red Snapper Tacos -
creamy avocado, spicy mango $10
These tacos were everything. I was really happy we ordered these tacos. It was full of flavor and I wanted more than just one! This is a must order item.

Maryland Jumbo Lump
Crab cake ‘Corn Dogs’ $14

These crab cake corn dogs were to die for. I remember trying to savor the moment of each bite. They did a really good job getting that crab on there. Wish we ordered two of these!!

Cranberry Flower
Hendrick’s Gin, cranberry compote,
fresh lemon, lemon syrup

I took a sip of this drink and thought it was good, my friend thought it was strong. I love Gin, and it's an acquired spirit that grows on some people and sometimes it doesn't... I'd order it if I could afford it (hahaha)

Brooklyn Lemonade
Brooklyn Gin, lemon syrup, fresh lemon, muddled cucumber, ginger beer

This drink made us all think of summer time, outside just soaking in the sun. Yea, summer where are you? I would get this drink. Luckily, one girl didn't want hers so I was fortunate enough to get half of it. Nice and refreshing.

Strawberry Fields
Grey Goose Citron, muddled fresh strawberries, lemon syrup, fresh lemon
& a Riesling floater

The birthday girls drink was tasty. I'm not into sweet drinks, so this wouldn't be on my radar, but from the look on her face, she enjoyed it.

Blood Orange-Jalapeño Margarita
jalapeño-infused Milagro Reposado, blood orange juice, fresh lime, Cointreau

This was my drink. AND I LOVED IT. YES I DID. The spicy and the tart, and the alcohol all made me warm and tingly inside. Or maybe it was just really hot in the restaurant.... Anyway, the waiter mentioned that it was his favorite drink and I agree!!! It is a Must try drink.

Old School Meatballs - $14
basil & ricotta ‘manicotti’

These meatballs were really tasty. They instantly made me want a side of Penne al dente and some wine. It was really that good.

Social Mac & Cheese -
chorizo, roasted poblanos $12

This was sans chorizo,  It was not the best Mac and cheese I've ever had......

All in all... this place was cool and sexy. Would I come again... Not sure, But I think it's a great place for a group of people to try new food ideas gourmet style... Till next time!!

I love this place. Just wanted to get that out there. So after reviewing their restaurant week menu and getting upset, I remembered they had a regular prefixed lunch menu that never disappointed.

Here we have what I craved from their previous chef, mac and cheese. Maybe it doesn't sound as enticing as it should. Well it is everything and more!! However, they've changed their recipe which kind of left a hole in my heart. I hate change, but it was doable.  The bechamel sauce was similar to the old recipe sans the panko topping. I'd get it again.

My entree . Oh my god my entree. Glazed salmon, quinoa, and a nice slaw on the side. I can't explain the dance my tongue was doing with those flavors. It was a healthy portion for lunch (especially after that mac and cheese app). The presentation left to the imagine and the execution of the dish was flawless. I would definitely order this again in a heart beat. If you find your self here please order this medium well. You get that perfect salmon flavor that way!!

Here's another loom at that beautiful dish

My cousin ordered the French steak and fritters. I had a bite of each. Kind of kicks my self for not ordering that. But hey I get the beat of both worlds ordering my Salmon. The sauce (gravy) on top of that slab of meat was heaven. Its not on the online menu so I can't remember what was in it. The fritters were like hash browns stuffed with cheese and fries to perfection. Another dish executed flawlessly.

If you haven't found of stumbled upon this location, your doing a disservice to your palette. I highly recommend this place!!

Happy hours are usually a girls best friend. Stumbling upon a hole in the wall that has an awesome happy hour is a double win!!

After shopping, girls just have to eat, especially after a long week of BS at work. Here's our awesome experience at Market.

The pictures are not in any order so here we go! Below we have what we waited for maybe 40 Minutes (not exaggerating) for after our appetizers. The crab cake was good. It wasn't as lumpy as described in the menu, however, the aoli that accompanied it was everything to the dish!! It kind of made up for my missing lumps. I think I'd wait for that one again.

Pomme Frites (french fries) were pretty good. They were. A part of their happy hour menu. The seasoning was spot on. I mean who doesn't like fries?

The chicken bites were good. It was a cross between a healthy grilled chicken that was fried. Not aide I made that sound right but it was good. Guess what it was paired with!!! That awesome aoli sauce the crab cake had!!!  It made a world of a difference! Oh yea

Here's another look at the chicken!

Apple cider mojito, why didn't I order you!! Is what I was screaming as I wrote this post. The two other girls got that and I tries it and fell off my chair. That was a tasteful master piece. Not too sweet not too tart. A great drink!

What I did get was this gimlet of some sort. Basically the strongest drink on their happy hour menu. Yea I was sipping on that cocktail for a while. Can't remember everything in there but I do remember some type of Berry floating on the bottom. Kind of like a mint julep but fruity.

This place was really cute. A must place to try!!

I love romance. It wakes up the soul and gives you a little something to look forward to everyday!!!

Valentine's day dinner was the beat dinner I've had in a long time. It was romantic, sweet and very delicious!!

Here we have a seafood pasta. It had prawns and lobster in a light tomato sauce. This was my guys dinner and it was beyond delicious and fresh. Underneath all that was angel hair pasta. Cooked al dente just how we like it!!! A must try I must say.

Here was my delicious pair of lobsters. I have no idea what they cooked it in or what sauce that was but boy, were these fat and juicy pieces of heaven!!! This picture does no justice for the colossal amount of meat the lobster had.

Accompanying my beautiful tails, was their penne pasta in butter garlic sauce. Topped with some Parmesan cheese. Was I in heaven or what!!  What I'd do to get this dish again in a heart beat!!

This place is great for families, a date night, or girls night out. I would definitely come here again (even though I've been here before)  for happy eating.

I love to try new things for lunch. However, this lunch was a bit too expensive for my experimenting habit.

The mac and cheese sounded a little better than it taste. After a while you get tires of eating it. I would Share this dish rather than request to eat it all alone!

The tacos were really good. For the price I would only get them if I needed a snack that would be healthier then most options in that general area. This was a chicken taco. I loved the flavors and the freshness of the salsa on top. You could tell that they marinated the chicken for a while to develop those deep flavors. I would most likely get this one again.

This here was their fish taco. I was a little disappointed that they didn't mention which fish it was. I guess between whiting or tilapia. Either way, it was okay, not the greatest fish taco I've had. The fish was a bit salty and the salsa had no right being on that taco. I would have put some radishes and cilantro or something instead. I wouldn't get this one again.

Any who, I would come back for a quick snack, not so much for a lunch or anything like that.

Fresh pizza made to order.

While doing laundry I walked into this pizza store and wanted a Margarita slice. There were none, so you could understand how annoyed I was.

Luckily I had a sad enough face for the manager to make me a fresh pie for less!!!  They grow their own herbs on premise, so you can imagine how fresh and delicious this pizza was. Yes I finished it with my guy... can't let good food go to waste!!

I love beer. No questions asked, I love food (we all know this) beer and food makes me a very happy camper!!!

So my cousin and I decided to have a quick impromptu happy hour. We went into a few places and the wait times were over 45 minutes and our stomachs didn't want to wait. I said lets go to beer authority.

We went to the dining area and were told wait time was 30-50 minutes and we were annoyed at that point. Luckily they had a downstairs bar. Found a couple that was leaving and etched our way to happiness.

There were a Number of items that I wanted to try, but we had to catch a train soon so we had to hurry. Our eyes locked on the crab cake and we knew we were going in for the gold. The bartender was really pushing how amazing the crab cake was. It took damn near 20 minutes to come out!!!

And boy was it worth it!!  We had no idea it came on a bed of guacamole!!!!  Two of my guilty pleasures on a plate. Oh my god!!

The crab cake had a really nice light and airy flavor. Full of lumpy crab and other goodness along with it. The guacamole was the icing on the cake!! Wish I had time to have another!!!

I would definitely come back for more!! This place hasn't let me down in the past.

Til next time!!!
