Fresh Wild Salmon.

I cannot believe how good this came out. I made it with a curry turmeric broth with kale, swiss shard, onions, ginger, coconut milk, etc. The salmon took center stage and did not need the broth!!

What a difference it makes having wild salmon vs the farm raised salmon. Oh boy will I not have salmon unless confirmed it is wild and proven!!

On the Side is cilantro brown rice... we were in heaven I tell you!!!

Happy hour with a good friend is always a good time. I know I did a post on this place before... but here are some new things We tried and loved!!!!

Seared Sea Scallops- With Jumbo sea scallops, potato puree, brown butter, and mache - 14$

Seared scallops are hard to find executed well, and when I mean well I mean well. This was sooooo delicious I honestly wanted to order another one to go home even though I was full from the other things we ate... Ugh what an amazing start to our happy hour!!

The sauteed kale was really good. Really green as pictured here, I would have liked a little pepper on it though. Other then that it was good.

The Spinach was eaten the most amongst the both of us. We loved the garlic flavor, and it was not too wilted so you got that fresh spinach flavor.. Yummerzz

The gnocchi... I was so mad at my self for not READING the ingredients in this dish. As a new pescatarianism, I omit meat from my diet but am eating seafood. It tasted so good that I was mad and couldn't believe it was pork I had... I stopped eating it and my friend finished it. Had it not tasted so good, I'd still ask the waiter what was in it... Oh well It was good but not for my new diet....

The calamari. Although different for my friend this way, I prefer calamari grilled and whole like this. It give a different mouth feel to this classic appetizer. I loved the pepper aoli and the stuffed pepper inside. I'd get this again, so would she.

All in all, I always like returning to good spots, and this place did not falter. I really do recommend this place. Psss FYI the drinks were strong and reasonably priced. Only thing is that they open at 5pm...

A perfect day came to a perfect night. After the Garrison cafe, I didn't know if we'd find another great spot and I was wrong!

Here we have the toasted bread with the house made oil concoction. The concoction was delicious. It had nothing but spicy herbs and vegetables, I wanted a bottle of that stuff. Luckily they kept bringing more delicious bread so I was good!

The special appetizer for the night was a seared scallop with bok choy and garlic. It was out of this world. This is a picture of half of the Portion served. It's not enough for an appetizer to share, but we will be back for that!! The bok choy was seasoned really well and the scallops were cooked to perfection... Why tease us with such a small portion!!! Next time we know to order two of those!

Here's a salad that comes with the main entree's. It had blue cheese (not a fan) and a balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on it. I could have done without the salad. BF loved it....
to each is own I say

Red wine.. no I don't recall the name or the type... but it was a perfect glass to end a perfect day upstate New York. I can't wait to go back up there!!

Lobster Ravioli with Chardonnay wine sun-dried tomato cream…22.95 This was a really well executed lobster ravioli. Most places you can kind of taste if it was home made or not, and this place knocked it right out of the park for me. What I also liked was the chunks of lobster, they didn't shred it too much and add any fillers... Well worth a try I kid you not!!

This was a seafood pasta made on the fly... BF couldn't decide what he wanted, so the waiter suggested the chef make this. It was made really well... a little heavy on the garlic but still a really good fresh seafood dish. Couldn't ask for more.

We should have ended with desert but we were too full and had to head back to the city. All in All this was a great place to stumble upon. Great waiter, amazing food, and good prices.

Go check them out if your in the area!!!

Pit stops are made for the foodie at heart! On my field trip to bear mountain, we stopped and saw a cafe on the side of the road and pulled in for a quick bite. Best quick bite I ever had in my life!!!

This was a lobster pizza. It had fresh corn, cilantro, tomatoes and of course lobster. It was enough for me and my guy, but secretly i wanted another pie. I would definitely go back again if i'm in the area.

They are very friendly and warm to all their customers, a great pit stop in that part of New York!!!
